What is a Micro Catheter?

A Micro Catheter is a very small, reinforced catheter, typically with an outer diameter between 0.70 and 1.30 mm. While there is no strict size definition, small catheters with diameters between 0.70 and 1.30 mm are often referred to as Micro Catheters. They are delicate medical devices used in minimally invasive interventional procedures and are widely used in peripheral, coronary, and neurovascular interventions.
